Prerequisite: The CCIP candidate must have a valid CCNA Certification. The Cisco CCIP requires three or four exams in addition to the CCNA prerequisite.
Option 1: Four exams in addition to a valid CCNA.
Option 2: Three exams in addition to a valid CCNA.
The Cisco professional level certifications, including CCIP certification, are valid for three years.
